Rohit Sharma enters elite company with landmark achievement
India skipper Rohit Sharma became only the 15th batter to reach 10,000 runs in the history of One Day Internationals.
During the seventh over of India’s Super Four encounter against Sri Lanka, Rohit jabbed a good length delivery from Kasun Rajitha behind the bowler’s head. The ball flew all the way over long off region for an impressive six.
With this, he achieved the milestone of 10,000 ODI runs. He became the second-fastest batter to reach this landmark. He took 241 innings to get here, which stands only behind his compatriot Virat Kohli (205 innings).
